Tips: bottom row fingers
Z–M keys sit below home row. Clean reaches here protect accuracy on common words like the endings and plurals.
Finger map
- Left pinky: Z · left ring: X · left middle: C · left index: V and B
- Right index: N and M · (comma / period / slash follow the same right-hand pattern on many layouts)
Common mistakes
- Sliding the whole hand down instead of reaching with one finger.
- Leaving the index finger parked on B/N and forgetting home bumps on F/J.
- Over-hitting M and N with the wrong hand on clustered words.
Practice idea
Type slowly through lines with lots of C, V, B, N, and M. Feel the return to home after each bottom-row hit. Pangrams are useful because they force every letter — including the awkward bottom-row ones.
